Holy Family Senior National School caters for boys and girls from 3rd class to 6th class. We are located in River Valley, Swords, Co. Dublin. Our school shares a campus with Holy Family Junior National School and is 35 years old this year. Our Principal is Ms. Geraldine Gowen and our Deputy Principal is Ms. Fionnuala Shelly.
Altogether there are 41 members on the teaching staff plus 8 SNAs, 1 School Completion Officer, 2 School Secretaries and 2 Caretakers.
A key part of our school are two Specific Learning Difference Dyslexia (S.L.D.) classes, referred to as the Reading Classes. Our aim in these classes is to help children with an S.L.D. improve confidence and develop literacy skills through small group teaching while maintaining contact with their mainstream class. In Holy Family, we focus on providing all of our pupils with the best possible education in a supportive, friendly and equal opportunity environment. Equally, our specialised SLD classes are focused on helping children with dyslexia to achieve the best possible academic outcomes possible and realising their potential as well as supporting their parents and guardians.
